African Industries Group Kick-starts Initiative To Save Lives Through Blood Donation

As one of its Social Impact plan, the African Industries Group (AIG) has adopted to conduct Blood Donation Camps across multiple locations within country to support Nigerias’ blood banks.

The group, in partnership with the Rotary Club Eko Atlantic at Ikorodu, Lagos State, organised its first blood camp which held on Sunday, October 8, 2023.

In a statement, a director at the African Industries Group, Mr. Ravi Sharma, disclosed that the blood donation camp experienced a good footfall of Samaritans, both from surrounding AIG factories and offices along with people from neighboring communities, who volunteered to donate blood.
“Enthusiastic employees from the AIG factories volunteered to support and help in organizing the camp.” Sharma said.

African Industries being a conglomerate collaborated with Rotary Club Eko Atlantic and Lagos State Blood Transfusion Services to successfully conduct the Blood Donation Camp in Ikorodu.

At the camp was the President, Rtn Sadananda Melanta, Secretary, Rtn Chandrani Matwankar and other senior members, who took keen interest in the proceedings.

Lagos state Blood Transfusion Services ensured that all the standard procedures were adhered to along with the prescribed precautions for the camp.
